About
In 2005, John Williamson and several fellow members of the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES) began developing Phil Harmonix Studio in honor of Phil Benoit (YES '01). Phil had a vast knowledge and love of music and a desire to start a music-related business in his hometown of Orange, MA. Sadly, Phil died in a car accident in 2001, just days after his 21st birthday, and his dream to bring more musical opportunities and resources to the North Quabbin region was never realized.

In 2009, the North Quabbin Young Leaders Council at YES raised funds to complete Studio construction. Launching in autumn 2010, the Studio will be operated on a self-supporting basis as a non-profit social enterprise with BFK Studio, a youth-operated business, and will offer youth Studio Members and adult musicians access to affordable:

  ▪ rehearsal and practice space
  ▪ recording, mixing, mastering, and duplication
