Help youth in your community earn money and gain valuable job skills, work experience and references by putting their skills to work helping local residents, organizations and businesses with odd jobs! YES now offers a field-tested program that you can use in your community: the Odd Job Squad™ .

This program has put scores of young people in western Massachusetts to work since its inception in 1998. Now, OJS has collected its best practices into a low-cost 'soup to nuts' organizer's kit so you can easily create your area's own self-sustaining youth odd jobs advertising service. The kit includes:

A user-friendly database (requires Microsoft Access for PC)

that helps you:
  ▪ manage jobbers’ contact & services data
  ▪ customize services & reports
  ▪ contact jobbers by phone, e-mail and mail
  ▪ match customer requests with jobber services
  ▪ collect customer feedback/jobber earnings data
  ▪ connect with other organizers by listserve
  ▪ access an on-board help menu
  ▪ print customizable jobber directories

and an Organizer’s Manual: a step-by-step guide that helps you set up, staff, equip, market, manage and fund your OJS and orient and train your jobbers.

Customizable templates of all the printed materials you'll need (requires Microsoft Word and Publisher for PC).

Price
The OJS organizer's kit may be licensed for a fee based on your organization's annual income. The fee provides your organization with exclusive rights to operate one Squad in one town. Fee for each additional Squad or town are half off (e.g., the $300 fee below would be $150).
